paul beaton
25 years ago, Paul completed the Teen Challenge programme which gave him the foundation to kick on in life. After then heading to university and working in media relations for a number of years, his heart brought him back to where it all began – seeing burnt out lives rekindled with fresh hope. He has worked at men’s residential rehab Teen Challenge Sunnybrae for 15 years and is now the Centre Manager of the facility, supporting once-broken men to find healing, life and freedom through faith. This is Paul’s first time speaking at Fixed.
vicky Lloyd
Originally from Bournemouth, Vicky’s early life was shaped by a difficult family background, and from a young age she found herself caught in a destructive world of drugs, addiction and crime. For ten years, this lifestyle held her captive — until her life was transformed. Today, Vicky lives in freedom and, alongside her husband Paul, serves as Senior Pastor of Victory Outreach Manchester. She is also actively involved in teaching and supporting residents within the Victory Outreach Homes. We are delighted to welcome Vicky back to Fixed for her seventh time speaking at the conference.
ASHLEY RUNCHIE
Ashley joins us as a speaker for the first time this year. She has lived free from addiction for 25 years, and her own journey of recovery has shaped the woman she is today. Ashely is a wife and mother who is passionate about seeing lives transformed through hope, faith and the power of recovery. Nowadays, she has the privilege of serving as Centre Manager at Teen Challenge Benaiah Women’s Rehabilitation Centre, where she supports women as they take steps towards freedom from addiction and begin to rebuild their lives.
PAUL LLOYD
Paul’s journey is a powerful story of transformation. Originally from London, he spent 12 years trapped in heroin addiction and a destructive violent crime. Today, his life looks very different. Devoted husband to Vicky, a father and the Senior Pastor of Victory Outreach Manchester. Victory Outreach International Director for the UK and Germany, he leads and support their incredible work. He has 25 years of experience working alongside people affected by addiction and other life-controlling struggles, Paul has understanding and compassion and is the author of Leading Broken People. A familiar and much-valued part of the Fixed family, we are delighted to welcome Paul back once again.
ALISON FENNING
Alison’s journey has seen a remarkable transformation. After years spent caught up in alcohol addiction, recreational drugs and the party lifestyle, she now uses her experiences to bring hope and encouragement to others. Alison has been part of the Fixed family since the very first conference, and we wouldn’t want it any other way! Alongside her husband Richard, she leads Mission on the Move, a pioneering organisation passionate about reaching people in places others may struggle to reach, while inspiring and equipping others to do the same. Today, Alison is a respected speaker, author and mentor with a passion for seeing lives changed.
Liam husband
Liam’s early life was marked by physical and emotional abuse, leaving him searching for ways to escape from a young age. By ten, he had turned to solvents, beginning a 16-year journey that would include addiction, prison, overdoses and suicide attempts. It all changed when Liam entered treatment and started a journey of recovery and faith that gave him a new sense of hope and purpose. Today, Liam lives in Bournemouth with his wife and four children and leads Hope Community Church. We are delighted to welcome him back to Fixed for his sixth year and look forward to hearing all that he has to share.
BARRY WOODWARD
Born and raised in Salford, Greater Manchester, Barry’s journey has taken him from the being locked up in a prison cell to now speaking those in prisons. Leaving school at just 16 with no qualifications, Barry was drawn into the city’s music scene, but alongside it came drugs, addiction and eventually a life centred around heroin and dealing. Over the next 15 years, his addiction led to repeated prison sentences and a cycle he struggled to escape. Then came an invitation to church — and everything changed. Today, Barry is known for his honest, down-to-earth and often humorous approach to sharing his remarkable story. His ability to connect with people from every background has made him a much-loved communicator, bringing a message of hope, transformation and purpose to those in prisons, recovery settings and churches throughout the UK.
ALAN HAMILTON
For more than two decades, Alan’s life was dominated by addiction, crime and a desperate search for lasting change. Despite spending time in thirteen different rehabilitation centres, serving multiple prison sentences and experiencing numerous stays in psychiatric hospitals, nothing seemed able to break the cycle. Alan reached a defining moment in his life and encountered a faith that brought his transformation. Now based in Scotland after leading a church in South Wales, Alan is married to Jackie. He is an itinerant teacher and mentor, supporting men in recovery and working alongside organisations including Broken Chains, House of Prayer and Road to Recovery in Ayr. We are absolutely delighted to welcome Alan back to Fixed.
CLYDE THOMAS
In 2003, while serving a prison sentence, Clyde experienced a life-changing transformation that set him on a completely new path. Since then, he has devoted his life to bringing encouragement, hope and the message of recovery to others. Through his powerful personal story and years of experience, Clyde speaks with honesty and passion to people facing addiction, imprisonment and other life-controlling struggles. His ministry has taken him around the UK and across the world, sharing the belief that no one is beyond hope and that a different future is possible. Clyde is the leader of the UK branch of Hope Centre Ministries, part of an international network of rehabilitation centres supporting people on their journey towards freedom and restoration.
CROWN FREEDOM
For the past nine years, Crown Freedom — also known as Mvrvin Abamha — has been bringing his unique sound and powerful message to the Fixed stage. Growing up on an estate in South Manchester surrounded by violence and crime, Mvrvin struggled with anger and insecurity, which led him into fighting, negative behaviour, weapon carrying and gang involvement. However, his passion for Hip-Hop and music gave him something positive to focus on and prevented him going further down that path. Since finding faith in 2013, Mvrvin has used his creativity alongside his faith to reach and inspire others. He is now the founder of the record label Iron Sharpens Iron and uses his music to connect with young people and share the hope of the Gospel.
ESCAPE ROOT
Escape Root (Josh Cowley) played for the first time at Fixed 26 and it great that he is back this year! Josh is a music producer, DJ and worship leader with a lifelong passion for creating music. His journey developed further at university, where he immersed himself in the music and club scene, collaborating with MCs and rappers. More recently, Josh has been creating electronic music that brings together uplifting messages with energetic dance sounds. He also hosts a weekly DJ show on his local Christian radio station, sharing music designed to inspire hope and connection. Escape Root is more than just a name — it represents an invitation to step away from the noise and busyness of life, find a moment of peace and discover a deeper, lasting hope.
HASINA DOWNIE
Hasina first shared her powerful Spoken Word at Fixed in 2019, and since then her creative storytelling and remarkable journey have continued to leave a lasting impact. Her early life was marked by a search for identity and belonging, which led her down a destructive path of anger, addiction, crime and ultimately imprisonment. However, in 2013, Hasina’s life began to change, setting her on a new journey of restoration, freedom and purpose. Today, Hasina lives in Bristol, where she supports people facing addiction and invests in the next generation through her work as a youth leader. We are delighted to welcome Hasina back to Fixed, for her seventh time with her unique blend of Spoken Word and powerful storytelling continues to inspire, challenge and bring hope to all who hear her.
lOUISE CULLENAINE
We are delighted to welcome Louise back to Fixed for her third time performing a message through her creative poetry and Spoken Word at the conference. After spending 22 years struggling with addiction, Louise found hope and the opportunity for a new beginning through Hope House, Teen Challenge. Following the completion of their 11-month programme and Leadership School, she has continued her journey of recovery and recently celebrated two years of sobriety. Originally from Reading, Louise now serves as an intern with Teen Challenge Dorset and is actively involved in churches and schools across the Bournemouth area.
